Sustainable development and innovation
The LODH Chair for Future Generations, which was created in April 2008, aims to provide long-term support for multi-disciplinary and international research conducted by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) in the field of sustainable development in order to meet one of the main challenges facing society: creating a sustainable future.
Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch is also a partner in Innovation Network. Launched in 2005, this program encourages entrepreneurial sponsorship and innovation at EPFL. So far, over 20 projects in domains as varied as bio-technology, medical instruments and internet technology have benefited from the financial support provided by this partnership.
The Firm also contributes alongside the EPFL and the Ecole Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne (ECAL) to a highly ambitious and original project entitled "Du Soleil pour nos mémoires" (Sun for our memories) which combines innovation with sustainable development. Details of this new collaboration will be unveiled over the coming months.
Moreover, Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch is among the contributors to the EPFL’s Career Center. Created in 2006 and destined for students, this office acts as a bridge between the prestigious institution and the labor market.
Lastly, Thierry Lombard is a member of the Council of Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology (EPF), which defines the strategic orientations of these major Swiss universities. The presence of one of the Managing Partners of Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch & Cie illustrates the importance of the commitment shown by the Firm to research and education in the Lake Geneva region.
