Prizes & scholarships

Education has always been one of our top priorities, both in internal policy and in our sponsorship strategy. This is reflected in the prizes and scholarships we fund, our support for educational programs, and the financial aid we give to scientific research centers.
 
Innogrants - Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL)
"Innogrants" have been awarded by EPFL, with the assistance of Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch, since 2005. Their aim is to support innovative ideas with major commercial potential and thus help bring them to fruition. Eligibility is not limited to EPFL researchers and professors; the grants are open to any student able to convince EPFL’s Innovation Network that his or her proposed project is viable and likely to be a commercial success.
 
Augustin Lombard Scholarship – Science Faculty – University of Geneva
Awarded exclusively to students in the final year of their degree or doctorate, this scholarship was created to help young researchers cover their living expenses and/or the cost of collecting scientific data in Switzerland or abroad.
 
Prize of the Swiss Center for Scientific Research – Ivory Coast
This prize rewards researchers who have made a significant contribution to scientific or technical research in partnership with the institutions of the Ivory Coast and/or other West African countries.
 
Philias CSR Award
Granted by the Philias Foundation and Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch, the Philias CSR Award is presented to the Swiss university students who produce the best paper on a specific company’s social responsibility strategy.
 
Modern Asia Research Center Scholarship – University of Geneva
By providing funding for a research trip or end-of-studies internship in Asia, Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch hopes to encourage students of Geneva University to make Asia the focus of their postgraduate studies.
 
Association of Bermuda International Companies Scholarship
As a member of this association, our Firm plays an active role in its Education Awards Program by each year providing sponsorship for a Bermudan student wishing to pursue a course of higher education in international business.
 
Higher Colleges of Technology Scholarship – United Arab Emirates
This award gives final-year students from the United Arab Emirates the opportunity to undertake a two-month internship at Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch’s head office and thus round off their studies with practical experience in the financial sector.
 
Business Law Scholarship – Universities of Geneva and Lausanne
As well as receiving financial support, recipients of this award have the chance to complete a one-year internship at Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch.
 
Economic and Social Sciences Faculty Scholarship – University of Geneva
Awarded each year to a student at the University of Geneva, this scholarship provides funding for  research into Geneva’s financial industry (in the form of a dissertation or doctoral thesis) that unites theory and practice in the monetary, financial, and banking spheres.
 
HEC Prize – University of Geneva
This prize is awarded to the student obtaining the best average grade in finance at Geneva University’s Economics and Business Administration Faculty (HEC).
 
Lausanne Hotel School Scholarship
This scholarship enables talented young people to complete a university course (Associate, Bachelor’s or Master’s level) at one of the world’s most prestigious hotel schools, equipping them to obtain managerial posts in hospitality professions throughout the world.
 
"Un capitaine, cent capitaines" Scholarship – Amiens
Launched in 2006 by our Firm and the International Jules Verne Center in Amiens, this scholarship offers the region’s high school students the opportunity to win support in pursuing a career-related project. Mentoring is provided by an entrepreneur whose career path amply illustrates the values that Jules Verne held dear: a sense of initiative, the desire to learn, motivation, and creativity. Thus, Alain Thébault, the sailor and inventor of the Hydroptère flying yacht, accepted to be the mentor for the 2008 winners.
 
Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch & Cie Amazing Voyages Award - Geneva

Greek and French prizes – Geneva high schools
The Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch Greek Prize funds a week-long trip to Greece for the Geneva high-school student achieving the top final grade in Greek. The Jean-Gabriel Eynard Association Greek Prize (Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch Fund) is awarded to the student at each Geneva high school with the highest final oral exam grades in Greek. The Hentsch Prize is awarded to the students obtaining the highest final marks in French at three Geneva high schools (Calvin, Rousseau, and Voltaire).
 
Conrad Hentsch Prize for Lombard Odier Darier Hentsch employees
This prize is awarded to the employee who obtains the highest pass mark in the Swiss Financial Analysts Association (SFAA) examination, and to the Firm’s apprentice with the best final grades.
